Technical experts, just like technical assistants, get to lead a company and report directly to the chief of the unit or his adjunct. To become a technical expert at the Civil Protection, you need to pass the promotion examination level B or you need to be recruited through an external examination for technical expert at the Civil Protection. Both examinations are organized by Selor.

• When you pass the promotion examination level B as an agent, you need to complete an adaptation period of 6 months, of which 4 months training “on the job” in day service.
• When you are recruited an external person, you follow a training practice of one year, of which 8 months training and 4 months training “on the job” in day service.
